looking at the trades, I believe for any trade to be approved, that there must be six yes votes for a trade to go through
Reason
We are a 10 team league - take the 2 players who are trading away and you have 8 remaining voters
Half of 8 is 4
add in the two teams that are doing the trade this makes six votes.
Once a trade gets six votes, it passes. IF a team chooses not to vote; it is also consider a no vote until that vote is cast
Thus a person could have a 4-0 or even 5-0 vote on a trade but it not pass - here is where we must all make the effort to vote on each trade when the time comes - this is supposedly an active league so I do not see why everyone can't cast their vote.
A 5-5 tie would also be a vetoed trade - an approved trade would be 6-4 or better.
A 5-5 vote means most likely that the players not involved in a trade voted 3-5 against the trade.
I see currently in a trade, that the commissioner then casts another vote - either for or against the trade, this proposal gets rid of the commissioner having to make this decision at all, because a majority is always required then to pass a vote. We need something in the rules so that this question is settled.

option vote two is wrong - I have to delete this poll and redo
It was supposed to say, MAJORITY VOTE WIN REQUIRED, ALL TIES LOSE.

I have thought hard about this. And I do believe the majority should rule and ideally usually should. I do however feel that unfair deals that damage the league should be squashed by the commish,no matter the vote. In some respect we have to trust he will do what is best for his league. I do agree that non votes are should to be considered no's.

I really don't think this is an issue... we has a situation where we had people gone for a while and we also were in the process of replacing people as well but generally for the majority of the trades the majority of the league has voted. I am generally the last person to vote on a trade and I do read the comments people make.
