This will be the location for the rules pertaining to any and all drafts.
1. Prospects drafts are for prospects for that league only. Regular drafts are for regular players. No prospect may be taken in a regular draft or supplemental draft. A prospect is ANY player that has signed a major league contract but has NOT played in ANY major league games. If a player has no "offiicial ABs or IP'd" yet has played in a game, he is still no longer a prospect.
2. Any undrafted FA player owned by an NHL team can be drafted in the supplemental draft or picked up as a FA. They CANNOT be drafted as a PROSPECT.
3. You can not draft a player as a prospect that hasn't been drafted by a Pro team.
4. Prospects picked in the current years REAL draft for each sport is not eligible to be picked up until we hold our prospect draft. Meaning if a player is drafted in this years baseball or hockey draft for example and he gets called up to the big leagues he cannot be picked up off of free agency, he will be eligible for that years prospect draft and then if not drafted in the prospect draft he can be taken off of Free agency.
5. Benching rosters or losing on purpose to gain a better draft spot is not allowed. Any discernible attempt to tank will result in a penalty of your pick in that sport being dropped to the bottom of the next round. This includes consolation rounds of the playoffs. If your team is scheduled to play you are to set your rosters accordingly.
6. In a league draft, if you trade a pick and do not receive a pick back, I will create a SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT based on draft order to replace open roster slots once the main part of the draft is complete.
7. In ANY draft, you must have the appropriate # of spots open on your regular season roster or within the prospect limitations of that sport.
8. During a draft (offline) -
A) If you post a pick of a player on the boards, then pick up the player in Yahoo - that players is yours.
If you let Sol know prior to the next pick being made, u may be allowed to change the player. This will be listed as a Modified player
You will not be allowed to trade the Modified player before the start of the season. If a trade of this player is made prior to the start of the season, a penalty will be applied. (Forfeiture of a future pick in that sport)
B) In a draft, if you fill your slots before the end of the draft, all left over picks are forfeited unless u trade them PRIOR to your last pick. Once your full - your full.
C) If you draft a player that is NA/IR eligible, you may put them in the designated area but that player can not be replaced till after the draft is over and waivers are put into effect.
9. Picks during a SUPPLEMENTAL draft cannot be traded. If u want to do a trade with someone, the managers can do a verbal agreement and then pick the appropriate players for each other THEN AFTER THE DRAFT- POST THE TRADE. The league will not get involved into any transactions until the trade is posted.
10. The regular season (supplemental) draft order for the next season, will be determined by reverse order of the final regular season standings. The prospects draft will be in similar order as the regular draft.
11. The waiver wire will be carried over from season to season.
